Character Sheet Blues

The extant English-language character sheets for BoL are serviceable, but then I look at what the French players of the game get to use, and I weep for the Anglophone world.  (That link takes you to French blogger Kobayashi's site.)  Alas, I lack all design skills to produce anything in that ballpark . . .

  1. I don't understand the problem: nearly every entry on that character sheet can be understood with some English knowledge, I haven't read the rules for BoL for ages, but are the English terms really that different?
On the other hand I am used to use English supplements when playing with German players, so maybe it's just me...

  2. Oh, I can read the sheet well enough from context, even if I haven't encountered many of the French words before. But I have players who would stumble at the translation; more important, I would just like an equally pretty English-language sheet. :)

  3. Now if it were a Latin character sheet (for Ludus de barbaris lemuriae), I'd be fine with it.

  5. Merci beaucoup! Your blog makes me wish I had spent more time learning French than the 4 weeks of study I undertook to pass a language exam in graduate school!

  7. That looks great. The anal-retentive, design-orientated side of me wishes that "Boons & Flaws" was a bit further left so that the poor little gecko wasn't all alone, but the sheet as a whole is exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks again!
